From her memo that went out this week:
“We’d like our employees to have devices similar to our users, so we can think and work as the majority of our users do.”
Since Yahoo seems to have had its many hydra-heads stuck in the sand for a while now, it seems like a good idea to try to actually understand their users.
Incidentally, I love how nearly every picture of Melissa Mayer depicts her laughing or smiling broadly. Maybe that’s just a way trivialize her, but it seems more like she just smiles a lot—a welcome change from captains of industry who take everything too seriously.
